Homework Expectations

In order for an assignment to be considered completed, students must adhere to the following expectations.

  • All of your work must be shown neatly, in pencil, for each question. You may attach a page from your playbook if you need additional space.
  • You must have all of your answers placed in the Answer Key (including units).
  • If you have any questions you can call the Mathquez (his phone number is printed on the HW assignment every night).

A couple of things to note:

Call three before me. In other words, communicate with your teammates before you reach out to the Mathquez. You are likely to remember something that a friend or peer said  so feel free to ask them to clarify something before calling your math teacher. This should, in no way, encourage you to act in a way that will question your integrity. Cheating, of any form, will not be tolerated and will likely result in a detention and a failing grade for the assignment in question.
Annotations are Awesome!

Use your resources. If you have permission, feel free to FaceTime or Skype with a study buddy to problem solve as a team. Again, you should be walking through the challenge together and not trying to do all of the heavy lifting for one another. Use the Helpful Resources link at the top of this blog to access websites that you could use to help you get through your homework.

Leave nothing blank. Effort is key when completing any task in math, and in life. Annotate, unravel your thought process as you show your work and present your best effort possible.
